4 years agoColorado Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado is not among the club’s starting nine Sunday against the Dodgers and right-hander Ross Stripling. Brendan Rodgers will enter the lineup and man second base, with Ryan McMahon shifting over to third. Arenado has been in the offensive doldrums over the past seven games, slashing .143/.138/.286 in that span. While his home/road splits have been drastic throughout his career, his .307 OPS on the road this year is a definite cause for concern for season-long owners. His next chance to return to the lineup comes Monday against Arizona, who has not yet announced a starter.--Jesse Borek
