2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals infield prospect Nolan Gorman stayed hot for Triple-A Memphis on Sunday. Gorman went 1-for-3 and belted his sixth round tripper of the season. The slugger has now hit a solo home run in four consecutive games. On the year, Gorman is now hitting .351 with six home runs and six RBI in 37 at-bats. Gorman has possessed plenty of power since being drafted in 2018, but also tends to hit a lot of groundballs. With third baseman Nolan Arenado going nowhere on the big-league club, Gorman switched to second base in 2021 and has also seen at-bats as the designated hitter for Memphis. The Cardinals may still want to give Gorman some more seasoning, but with the way he is hitting thus far and with the designated hitter now in the National League, it shouldn't be too long before fantasy managers have the chance to see Gorman's power in the show.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
