4 years agoThe Chicago White Sox are close to adding another slugger to their starting nine in the near future, as manager Rick Renteria noted that Nomar Mazara was nearing a return after having spent time at the team’s alternate training site. Mazara produced a career-high 10.7% barrel percentage last year with the Rangers before being acquired by Chicago in December with the idea of manning right field on a daily basis. The start of his 2020 campaign has been delayed by an illness, but while Renteria cannot give an exact timetable to his debut, it appears that it will be sooner rather than later. Nicky Delmonico would likely be zapped of any fantasy value upon Mazara’s return.--Jesse Borek
