Not This Time For Jesse Chavez
5 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Jesse Chavez allowed four runs - three earned - and five hits with no walks and eight strikeouts over six innings in a road loss against the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday. Chavez was able to record his second consecutive quality start, and he has posted a 1-1 record and 2.08 ERA across his past three outings. However, the offensive support was just not there for Chavez, who slipped to 3-3 overall. Despite the loss, he remains a decent addition in AL-only fantasy leagues, as the 35-year-old is throwing the ball well. Next up is a date with former Rangers LHP Martin Perez in Minnesota on July 5.
