O.J. Howard Likely To Play In The Opener
3 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers tight end O.J. Howard (Achilles) is expected to suit up for Thursday's matchup against the Cowboys. The 26-year-old suffered a season-ending Achilles tear back in October of last year and was relegated to playing in just four games as a result. Still, before succumbing to the injury, Howard racked up 11 catches for 146 yards and two touchdowns, so he appeared to be on the upswing after posting a disappointing 2019-20 campaign. Nonetheless, fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status ahead of the Week 1 opener and await an official confirmation regarding his availability before inserting him into any lineup. However, if Howard ends up playing, he could be a sneaky option at the position, especially with additional targets up for grabs if Chris Godwin (quadriceps) isn't available.
