Buccaneers Happy To Keep O.J. Howard
5 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers tight end O.J. Howard will remain on the team unless a sizable return is offered by another franchise, per Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. This comes after Tampa acquired former New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski on Tuesday. With one of Tom Brady's favorite targets now on the Bucs, the team has three capable tight ends in Gronkowski, Howard, and Cameron Brate. The team is slated to have a two-TE formation as of now, but there remains a chance the New England Patriots could trade for the 25-year-old, per Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports. At this point, there remains no pending trade for Howard, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. Howard's fantasy value will vary significantly depending on where he plays in 2020. If he stays in Tampa Bay, his fantasy value would take a major hit with increased competition from other tight ends, thus not making him a weekly starter.
