3 years agoFree-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. drew interest from the Patriots, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. However, New England instead opted to trade for DeVante Parker. Beckham is the top receiver on the market right now, giving him plenty of leverage in negotiations. On one hand, returning to the Browns or Rams makes sense given his familiarity with the teams and the strong quarterback depth that both franchises enjoy. On the other hand, Beckham had a great end to 2021 with Los Angeles, putting him in a prime position to fetch a big check from a new team, as long as he recovers from a torn ACL suffered in the Super Bowl. The Parker trade presumably takes New England out of the mix for Beckham, but at the very least, Fowler's update shows that the veteran wideout is generating interest and exploring all of his options.--Andersen Pickard - RotoBaller
