4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Odubel Herrera went 1-for-4 in a Spring Training game Wednesday with two strikeouts. Herrera has just three hits in his last 20 at-bats as he battles Scott Kingery, Roman Quinn, and Adam Haseley for the center field job. Herrera had the best numbers of the group early in camp, but his recent cold stretch has him on the outside looking in when it comes to making the Opening Day roster. Herrera is not on the 40-man roster so Philadelphia would have to cut someone to add Herrera and, given his domestic violence suspension last season, the smart PR move may be to have him start the season outside the spotlight. Herrera has deep-league fantasy upside if he's getting at-bats, but for now, can be avoided in most fantasy drafts.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
