Omar Narvaez On The Bench Monday
3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers catcher Omar Narvaez will begin Monday's game against the Baltimore Orioles on the bench. Narvaez hit .266 with a .342 on-base percentage and 11 home runs in 445 plate appearances last season. He's started the year hitless in his first six plate appearances but has drawn a walk and reached base on a hit by pitch. Instead, it'll be Victor Caratini starting behind the plate. The 28-year-old spent last season in San Diego, hitting .227 with a .309 on-base percentage, seven home runs, and a pair of stolen bases in 356 plate appearances. He'll bat ninth against Orioles left-hander Bruce Zimmermann and is probably better left on fantasy benches on Monday.
