Omar Narvaez Shifted To Leadoff Spot Saturday
4 years agoMilwaukee Brewers catcher Omar Narvaez will bat leadoff Saturday against the Cubs, who will send right-handed pitcher Colin Rea to the hill. Narvaez had yet to hit above the No. 6 hole this season, but in an effort to shake-up his lineup, manager Craig Counsell will be looking to take advantage of Narvaez’s six walks as a way of getting men on base in front of Keston Hiura and Christian Yelich. The move can also be seen as a way to try and jumpstart the cold bat of Narvaez, who is hitting just .158 through his first 14 games with Milwaukee. DFS owners who are concerned with lineup positioning may wade into the waters of rostering Narvaez with a possible extra at-bat coming his way.
