Optimism That Miles Sanders Will Be Ready For Week 1
2 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders (hamstring) missed another training camp practice on Friday, but there is optimism that he'll be ready for the Week 1 season opener against the Detroit Lions. Sanders has been bothered by this injury before, though. "We are just being precautious with him," head coach Nick Sirianni said. "He had some tightness and soreness in it. Just being precautious with him and we'll see how it goes." The 25-year-old was effective with the ball in his hands last season, but he failed to find the end zone and is trying to hold off both Kenneth Gainwell and Boston Scott heading into the 2022 season. With his injury on top of it, Sanders is quickly becoming one to avoid as an RB3/flex in fantasy drafts.
