Orlando Brown Confident He'll Work Out Extension
2 years agoKansas City Chiefs left tackle Orlando Brown, who had the franchise tag placed on him this offseason, is confident that he'll work out a long-term contract extension with the team by the deadline on July 15. Brown was an anchor on quarterback Patrick Mahomes' blind side in 2021 after he was acquired from the Baltimore Ravens. The Chiefs offensive line ranked fifth in Pro Football Focus' offensive line rankings last year. If he plays under the franchise tag this year, he'll make $16.7 million in 2022. The 26-year-old played all of last year at left tackle with the Chiefs after playing 75% of his snaps in three seasons in Baltimore at right tackle.
