4 years agoThe Cleveland Indians outfield shuffle continued Monday with Oscar Mercado being recalled from the club’s alternate training site while Domingo Santana was designated for assignment. Mercado’s open to the 2020 campaign has been woeful with a -23 OPS+ in his first 17 games, which earned him his demotion. Santana slashed .157/.298/.286 during his stint with Cleveland, but the acquisition of Josh Naylor forced a decision to be made. Having delivered a 108 OPS+ as recently as last season, Santana is likely to land with another team.--Jesse Borek
