Senators Select Brady Tkachuk Fourth Overall
6 years agoWith the fourth overall pick in the 2018 NHL Draft, the Ottawa Senators have selected left wing Brady Tkachuk out of Boston University. Tkachuk, who weighs in at 6-foot-3 and 192 pounds, is described as a 200-foot player who can use his frame to get in the corners and take players off their game. He scored 31 points (eight goals, 23 assists) in 40 games with Boston University as a freshman, leading the entire team in assists. Due to him being such a unique archetype of player, he's described to be like his brother Matthew Tkachuk or like his dad Keith Tkachuk. The Ottawa Senators could opt to use him on the roster in the upcoming 2018-2019 season, and he could have serious potential upside like his brother Matthew, who scored 48 points in 76 games in his rookie season. He should be on the radar of every fantasy hockey player in the upcoming season. However, he should not be drafted in standard redraft formats.
