3 years agoThe Cleveland Guardians activated shortstop Owen Miller from the COVID-19 list on Sunday and optioned left-hander Konnor Pilkington to Triple-A Columbus in a corresponding roster move. Miller, 25, was one of the hottest hitters in the league before he tested positive for COVID-19 last week and missed the next five games. He is back in the starting lineup on Sunday against the New York Yankees and right-hander Gerrit Cole, starting at first base and batting sixth in the order. In his first 33 plate appearances this year, Miller has 14 hits, a league-leading seven doubles, two home runs, seven RBI and nine runs scored while walking four times and striking out only five times. He'll have a tough test against the Yankees ace, though, in his return.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
