Ozzie Albies Plays Catch
2 years agoAtlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies (foot) played catch on Wednesday, according to skipper Brian Snitker, and he will soon ramp up other baseball activities. In a best-case scenario, Albies could return in early to mid-September. The 25-year-old is no longer using a walking boot and will continue to ramp up his rehab in the coming weeks. He was hitting .244/.289/.405 with eight home runs, 33 RBI, 34 runs scored and three stolen bases in 242 at-bats before his injury. Even though Albies probably won't be ready until around midway through September, he's worth keeping stashed in an IL spot on fantasy rosters. Orlando Arcia should continue to man the keystone regularly in Atlanta.
