Ozzie Albies Targeting Late-August Return
2 years agoAtlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies (foot) is hoping to return mid-to late-August. The 25-year-old underwent successful surgery to stabilize a fracture in his left foot in June. According to Braves general manager Alex Anthopoulos, Albies is at 75 percent weight-bearing. "We're probably looking at mid- to late-August or, worst case, the beginning of September," said Anthopoulos. He slashed .244/.289/.405 with eight home runs, 33 RBI, 34 runs scored, and three stolen bases in 263 plate appearances before landing on the injured list. Fantasy managers should continue to stash the star Braves second baseman and could have him in their lineups for the final stretch in September.
