2 years agoAtlanta Braves skipper Brian Snitker said that second baseman Ozzie Albies (foot) will start a minor league rehab assignment on Thursday with Triple-A Gwinnett. Albies has been on the shelf since mid-June, but he's nearing a return to Atlanta's everyday lineup for the stretch run in September. The two-time All-Star should remain stashed in all fantasy baseball leagues. Before his injury, he was hitting .244/.289/.405 with eight home runs, 33 RBI, 34 runs scored and three stolen bases in 263 plate appearances over 62 games played. Because he's been out for an extended period of time, fantasy managers should expect the 25-year-old's rehab assignment to be a rather lengthy one.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
