P.J. Walker Will Start Week 10
3 years agoCarolina Panthers head coach Matt Rhule announced on Thursday that quarterback P.J. Walker will be the starter in Week 10 versus the Arizona Cardinals. The Panthers placed quarterback Sam Darnold (shoulder) on injured reserve earlier in the week and signed Cam Newton on Thursday. Despite Newton having a chance to unseat Walker with Darnold out, it is very unlikely that he will see the field on Sunday with just a few days to learn his new offense and get practice reps. Walker has seen limited action in three games this year and has completed just 3 of his 15 pass attempts for 33 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions. With limited experience and Newton in the picture, Walker is a desperation play in deeper formats at the moment.
