Pablo Lopez Knocked Out In Third Inning Sunday
2 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Pablo Lopez had his worst start of the year Sunday, as the Mets knocked him out with six runs on 12 hits in just 2 2/3 innings of work. Lopez struck out one batter and did not walk anyone in his sixth loss of the season. Lopez, who has seen his name come up in trade rumors of late, had otherwise enjoyed a typically strong season, with a 3.41 ERA and 1.12 WHIP to his name even after this disastrous performance. He has struck out 119 batters in 118 2/3 innings over 21 starts and will look to right the ship in his next trip to the mound later this week.
