3 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Pablo Lopez was solid but inefficient in Tuesday's start against the Los Angeles Dodgers. He lasted just four innings, but allowed only one run on four hits and one walk while striking out eight. Lopez threw 91 pitches, 57 strikes. As the Dodgers lineup often forces pitchers to do, Lopez had many deep counts and had two innings in which he threw over 20 pitches. Lopez, of course, was tossed from his last start after one pitch because he accidentally hit Ronald Acuña while trying to pitch to him inside, where he struggles to hit. Perhaps he was thrown off by the change in his routine. Lopez will be on regular rest for his next start, which will be against the Braves once again.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
