7 years agoThe San Francisco Giants placed third baseman Pablo Sandoval (hamstring) on the 10-day disabled list on Monday with a strained right hamstring. He injured himself on a slide on Sunday. He was hitting .248/.310/.417 with nine home runs and 40 RBI in 92 games. In a corresponding move, second baseman Joe Panik (groin) was activated from the DL and infielder Kelby Tomlinson was recalled from the minors. Panik was hitting just .240 in 54 games and doesn't do anything particularly well for fantasy owners.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
