Packers Draft Tight End Josiah Deguara
5 years agoThe Green Bay Packers finally addressed their pass-catchers by drafting Cincinnati tight end Josiah Deguara in the third round at pick No. 94 overall. The Packers needed more skill players for quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and they addressed that need with a 6-foot-2 tight end. Deguara is a red-zone threat, as he had 12 total touchdowns over his final two years in college. He should see the field plenty as a rookie because of his great athleticism, but he'll be battling Jace Sternberger and Robert Tonyan. Cincinnati used him all over the field, including as an H-back, so expect head coach Matt LaFleur to get creative in using Deguara.
