3 years agoThe Green Bay Packers picked up the fifth-year option on linebacker Rashan Gary on Friday, according to a source. It will lock him into a salary between $10.9 million and $11.7 million for 2023, depending on playing time. The 24-year-old showed improvement in his third season last year, recording 47 tackles (27 solo), eight tackles for loss, 28 QB hits, a career-high 9.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in 16 starts for the Packers. Gary was tied for ninth in the league in QB pressures, so he was certainly busy in the opponent's backfield in 2021.
