Packers Unlikely To Consider Trading Jordan Love
3 years agoGreen Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said it's "very doubtful" that he would take trade calls for quarterback Jordan Love. Future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers' future is in doubt heading into the new league year next month, which means the Packers must hold onto Love as insurance. However, if Rodgers chooses to return, perhaps Gutekunst's stance on Love changes. The controversial first-rounder in 2020 played in six games one start) in his second NFL season and went 36-for-62 for 411 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions. The 23-year-old didn't look particularly great in his lone start against the Kansas City Chiefs, but he could be thrust into a starting role in 2022 if Rodgers leaves.
