Packy Naughton Rebounds In Second Start
3 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher Packy Naughton (0-1) pitched well in his second career start on Tuesday, allowing no runs on two hits, two walks, and added five strikeouts in five innings. He didn't get the victory, but he certainly was pivotal in the Angels 4-0 win over the San Diego Padres. He now has a 2.57 ERA with nine strikeouts and seven walks over 14 innings and two starts. Across 60.2 minor-league innings this season, he has a 4.90 ERA with just 55 strikeouts. It's unclear who will stay in the rotation once the Angels get healthier on the pitching side, but Naughton should be ignored in most formats anyways, with the minimal upside he has.
