7 years agoThe San Diego Padres have checked in on New York Mets starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard in their search for a front-line starter, according to sources. Syndergaard is currently on the disabled list with a viral infection, but he's only expected to miss one start. The Padres are likely just doing their due diligence, but they have the farm system to pull off a trade of this magnitude, and Thor remains under control for the next several years and could lead this pitching staff into the future.
