Padres 'Confident' That Blake Snell Will Start Sunday
3 years agoSan Diego Padres left-hander Blake Snell (illness) should be able to make his next start on Sunday against the Philadelphia Phillies, per manager Jayce Tingler. Snell was scratched from Tuesday's start against the Reds with stomach issues and was placed on the injured list. Tingler told reporters on Saturday that he was "confident" that Snell would be good to go for his start on Sunday against the Phillies. The 28-year-old southpaw has struggled to get things going this season with a 5.29 ERA, 1.55 WHIP, and 90:40 K/BB ratio over 66 1/3 innings. Fantasy managers should monitor his status up until game time on Sunday to make sure he's ready to roll.
