4 years agoThe San Diego Padres are promoting pitching prospect Luis Patino ahead of Tuesday's game versus the Dodgers. The 20-year-old is the 27th ranked prospect by MLB and third in the Padres system despite only throwing 7.2 career innings above High-A. Reports have come from the team's alternate site that he's been lights-out and will join the big-league club in a relief role. Patino has tremendous dynasty value, but likely won't have much of a redraft impact working as a reliever. It will be fun to watch the electric right-hander throw this season nonetheless.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
