More Teams Interested In Bojan Bogdanovic
2 years agoUtah Jazz forward Bojan Bogdanovic continues to draw interest from teams throughout the NBA. Although the Knicks were among the first to emerge as a potential suitor, it appears the Suns, Lakers, and Mavs are also looking to acquire him. With the Jazz in an obvious rebuilding phase, it's certainly possible Bogdanovic will be suiting up elsewhere before the start of the 2022-23 campaign. While his defensive skills are lacking, he's still one of the potent offensive presences in the league. The veteran is getting up there in age. However, he likely has a few more years left as a consistent fantasy producer.Source: John Gambadaro
Celtics Not Expected To Sign Carmelo Anthony
2 years agoFree-agent forward Carmelo Anthony isn't expected to sign with the Celtics. After Danilo Gallinari (knee) suffered a torn ACL, there were rumblings that the C's were interested in adding Anthony. However, it appears that isn't happening, so for now, Sam Hauser and Grant Williams should receive more minutes off the bench this season.Source: Brian Robb
Franz Wagner Sprains Ankle During EuroBasket Game
2 years agoOrlando Magic forward Franz Wagner (ankle) sprained his ankle in the third quarter during Germany's EuroBasket win over Montenegro on Saturday. He didn't return to the contest and is questionable for the team's next matchup on Tuesday. The 21-year-old is coming off a fantastic rookie campaign by averaging 15.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.9 assists in 79 games. It's unknown how serious his current injury is. However, with training camp beginning in a few weeks, Wagner's status is currently up in the air.Source: EuroHoops
Giannis Antetokounmpo Expected To Play On Sunday
2 years agoMilwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (ankle) is expected to suit up for the Greek national team during Sunday's EuroBasket matchup against the Czech Republic. The multi-time MVP tweaked his ankle on Thursday. Fortunately, it wasn't severe, and he recently practiced with his teammates. Antetokounmpo has also battled knee and back issues this summer. However, none of those ailments should impact him heading into the 2022-23 campaign.Source: John Rammas
Suns, Cameron Johnson Talking Contract Extension
2 years agoPhoenix Suns forward Cameron Johnson and the team are actively discussing a contract extension. The 26-year-old averaged 12.5 points and 4.1 rebounds while shooting an impressive 42.5% from deep last season. It's unknown how much Phoenix is willing to shell out to keep him on the roster. However, Johnson appears to have plenty of untapped potential, so he should continue to produce for fantasy managers, no matter where he's playing throughout his career.Source: Duane Rankin
Giannis Antetokounmpo Expected To Practice On Sunday
2 years agoMilwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (ankle) recently did some weight training. The multi-time MVP tweaked his ankle during a EuroBasket contest against Estonia. Of course, any injury surrounding Antetokounmpo isn't ideal. Fortunately, he is expected to practice on Sunday, so there's no reason to believe this ailment will impact him heading into the 2022-23 campaign.Source: Eurohoops Team
Dereon Seabron Receives Two-Way Contract From Pels
2 years agoFree-agent guard Dereon Seabron has agreed to a two-way contract with the Pelicans. Seabron went undrafted during the 2022 NBA Draft after averaging 17.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.4 steals during his final year at North Carolina State. He was also named the ACC Most Improved Player. While the 22-year-old won't make an immediate impact in New Orleans, dynasty managers should consider hanging on to him for a few years to see if he turns into something at the professional level.Source: Pelicans.com
Keegan Murray Cleared For All Basketball Activities
2 years agoSacramento Kings forward Keegan Murray (wrist) received the green light to resume all basketball activities. The rookie looked good during Summer League in Vegas, averaging 23.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.3 steals. However, he had wrist surgery in July, causing panic among dynasty managers. Fortunately, Murray should be ready to begin the 2022-23 campaign. With Chet Holmgren (foot) to miss the year, Murray has a stronger chance of becoming this season's Rookie of the Year. Even if he doesn't win the award, he is expected to make an immediate impact, so redraft managers should keep him in mind heading into October.Source: James Ham
Malcolm Hill Returning To Chicago
2 years agoFree-agent guard Malcolm Hill agreed to a two-way contract with the Bulls. The 26-year-old averaged 3.4 points and 1.8 rebounds in 16 games in Chicago last season. Obviously, those numbers won't make him a coveted fantasy option heading into the 2022-23 campaign. However, he's still worth a stash in dynasty leagues, at least for now.Source: Shams Charania
Knicks Interested In Bojan Bogdanovic
2 years agoUtah Jazz forward Bojan Bogdanovic is reportedly on the Knicks' radar. Although New York wasn't successful in acquiring Donovan Mitchell, the team would still undoubtedly bolster things on the offensive end by adding Bogdanovic. The 33-year-old is coming off one of the best seasons of his career, finishing with 18.1 points and shooting 38.7% from deep. While Bogdanovic doesn't offer much on the defensive end, he has been a proven scorer over the years, so he'd make a fine addition to any fantasy club in 2022-23.Source: Geoff Magliocchetti
Celtics Finalize Camp Deal For Noah Vonleh
2 years agoThe Celtics have officially signed forward Noah Vonleh. The deal is non-guaranteed, and he will have to compete for a permanent spot on the roster throughout training camp. He was selected with the No. 9 overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft and has played for seven teams since, averaging 5.1 rebounds and 4.9 points along the way. With that said, even if Vonleh secures a place on the regular season roster, he probably won't play much, so either way, fantasy managers won't have to think twice about him during the remainder of the offseason.Source: Greg Cooper
Maxi Kleber Agrees To Extension With Mavs
2 years agoDallas Mavericks forward Maxi Kleber agreed to a three-year, $33 million extension on Thursday. The 30-year-old has played his entire career in Dallas (five seasons) and has averaged 7.1 points and 4.8 rebounds while shooting 35.9% from deep. With the Mavs acquiring Christian Wood during the offseason, Kleber may not be a consistent starter in 2022-23. However, he should receive enough minutes to be a suitable fantasy option in deeper formats, and his shooting touch from behind the arc is a bonus for category managers.Source: Kurt Helm
Kendrick Nunn Given Green Light For More Contact
2 years agoLos Angeles Lakers guard Kendrick Nunn (knee) was cleared to increase contact at practice moving ahead. He missed all of last season with a bone bruise. However, head coach Darvin Ham is pleased with Nunn's progress, indicating he's looked "great." The 27-year-old has averaged 15.0 points, 3.0 assists, and 2.9 rebounds throughout his two seasons in the league, both with the Heat. While Patrick Beverley is now in the equation, Nunn may still get minutes in 2022-23. Yet, he will need to prove his worth on the fantasy end once he's healthy and back on the court before anyone considers adding him to a roster.Source: Jovan Buha
Giannis Antetokounmpo Sprains Ankle At EuroBasket
2 years agoMilwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (ankle) exited the EuroBasket matchup against Estonia. The multi-time MVP tweaked his ankle, forcing him to exit the game in the third quarter. Nevertheless, Greece head coach Dimitris Itoudis wasn't concerned, indicating Antetokounmpo received ice and treatment. However, fantasy managers should take notice, primarily since the 27-year-old has also dealt with back and knee injuries this summer. With that said, none of Antetokounmpo's ailments are considered severe, so his fantasy outlook shouldn't be impacted heading into the 2022-23 campaign.Source: ESPN
Montrezl Harrell Agrees To Deal With 76ers
2 years agoFree-agent center Montrezl Harrell agreed to a two-year, $5.2 million contract with the 76ers on Tuesday. The 2019-20 NBA Sixth Man of the Year split time between Washington and Charlotte last season, finishing with averages of 13.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 71 games. However, he was arrested in June and charged with a felony after he was reportedly found with over three pounds of marijuana in his vehicle during a traffic stop. Fortunately for him, the charge was reduced to a misdemeanor, with it being dismissed altogether if he stays out of legal trouble over a 12-month span. Nevertheless, Harrell's primary role will be to support Joel Embiid throughout the season. With that said, he may gain more than enough minutes off the bench to keep him relevant on the fantasy end. He also has the potential for some starts here and there if Embiid misses time.Source: Adrian Wojnarowski
