Panthers Give DJ Moore A Three-Year Extension
3 years agoThe Carolina Panthers gave wide receiver DJ Moore a three-year, $61.884 million contract extension in new money on Friday, according to his agents. The new-money average is $20.628 million, and there is a full guarantee of $41.61 million. Moore is now tied to Carolina for four years and $73 million. Now, if the Panthers could just improve on quarterback Sam Darnold under center. The 24-year-old pass-catcher has three straight 1,000-yard seasons for the Panthers, but he wasn't nearly as efficient in 2021 with a career-low 12.4 yards per reception and 68.1 yards per game with four touchdowns in 17 games. He should continue to be a target hog in this offense, which gives him a solid fantasy floor, but the ceiling won't be there unless the Panthers get better QB play.
