Panthers Have First-Round Grades On Three QBs
3 years agoThe Carolina Panthers are looking for an upgrade under center over current starting quarterback Sam Darnold. The 2022 draft is believed to be one of the weaker classes of QBs in recent years. The Panthers view Malik Willis, Kenny Pickett and Matt Corral as the top quarterbacks of the class and have first-round draft grades on them. They have second-round grades on the other top QBs, including North Carolina's Sam Howell. Pickett is the most pro-ready, while Willis is believed to have the most upside. The Jaguars, Lions, Texans, Jets and Giants, who have top-five picks, aren't expected to take a QB. At No. 6, Carolina could have their choice of the pack, and if they take a signal-caller, they could immediately compete with Darnold for the starting job in 2022.
