Panthers Pursuing Duane Brown
3 years agoThe Carolina Panthers are pursuing free-agent left tackle Duane Brown, according to a league source. Brown is a five-time Pro Bowler and has been with the Seattle Seahawks since 2017. He was initially a first-round pick (26th overall) by the Houston Texans in 2008 out of Virginia Tech. The 36-year-old had a rough start to last season, but he eventually settled in and is still one of the best left tackles in the game, despite his age. Brown managed to play in all 17 games in 2021 and would be a much-needed upgrade for the Panthers at the left tackle position. It's unclear who will be starting under center for the Panthers next season after multiple failed attempts to upgrade over Sam Darnold.
