3 years agoThe Carolina Panthers selected Mississippi quarterback Matt Corral with the 94th pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. He will compete with Sam Darnold for the team's starting quarterback gig in 2022. Carolina traded back into the third round to select Mississippi product. The 23-year-old was one in a high-octane offense, throwing 3,349 yards, 20 touchdowns, and five interceptions while rushing for 614 yards and 11 scores over 13 games in Mississippi. He delivered accurate throws while throwing exceptionally well deep ball. Despite selecting Corral, it remains to be seen if the Panthers make a move for Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield. Carolina reportedly was in talks with Cleveland about acquiring Mayfield, and a deal could be done this weekend.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
