3 years agoCarolina Panthers general manager Scott Fitterer met with quarterback Sam Darnold on Monday and told him "there's a pretty good chance" the team will add another QB in the draft this week. Fitterer said that the Panthers would be comfortable taking two quarterbacks with the No. 6 overall pick, although he didn't specify which QBs they were. Liberty's Malik Willis and Pittsburgh's Kenny Pickett are the two highest-rated signal-callers among draft analysts. Fitterer said the team wants to "stabilize the quarterback position," and the best solution long-term is with a young player in the draft. However, the Panthers also have options outside of the draft in potential trades for Baker Mayfield and Jimmy Garoppolo.
