3 years agoBarring a Hail Mary, it seems unlikely that the Carolina Panthers will land Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson in a trade, according to The Athletic's Joe Person. The Cleveland Browns were also informed on Thursday that Watson won't waive his no-trade clause to play for them. The Panthers reportedly have offered a package for Watson that includes multiple first-round picks, but the New Orleans Saints have also done so and have been prepping for a big move by clearing a ton of salary cap space for the 2022 season. The Atlanta Falcons entered the mix for Watson recently, although swinging a trade for him will be additionally difficult because of Matt Ryan's contract.
