Panthers Want To Get Christian McCaffrey More Involved
2 years agoCarolina Panthers offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo said that running back Christian McCaffrey is a special and unique player and that "we've got to get the ball in his hands." McCaffrey played 81 percent of the offensive snaps in the Week 1 loss to the Cleveland Browns, carrying the ball 10 times for 33 yards and a touchdown and adding four catches on five targets for 24 additional yards. The 26-year-old oft-injured running back had just five touches in the first half. His touchdown saved an otherwise quiet day, so his fantasy managers will certainly be hoping that he gets more involved in a Week 2 matchup against the New York Giants. Despite the lackluster season-opening performance, McCaffrey is a must-start RB1 as long as he's healthy.
