Paolo Espino Disappoints Tuesday
3 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Paolo Espino gave up five runs on seven hits and two walks to the Atlanta Braves in five innings Tuesday. He struck out seven batters, which ties his season-high, but this outing still registers as a disappointment for the right-hander. Espino had allowed three runs or less in three straight starts before this one, and he still is yet to record a quality start this year. With a 4.35 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, and 77 strikeouts in 91 innings, he has very little use in fantasy leagues.
