6 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Patrick Corbin threw the team's first complete game shutout of the season Saturday in a 5-0 win against the Miami Marlins. Corbin wasn't his usual self, striking out only five, but got three double play ground balls and allowed just four hits and a walk while throwing 116 pitches. With the Nationals bullpen a shambles, Corbin delivered a much-needed performance, and put his previous outing (5 IP, 4 ER) in the rear view mirror. He goes to Cincinnati to take on the Reds next, where as usual he should be started in all leagues.--Nathaniel Green
