5 years agoWashington Nationals starter Patrick Corbin struck out 12 Cardinals hitters in five innings pitched as the Nationals are heading to the World Series for the first time in franchise history. Corbin was cruising through the first few innings with a 7-0 lead but ran into trouble in the fourth and fifth innings. But it didn't matter as the Nationals offense posted all seven of those runs in the first inning. The Nationals will boast an intimidating starting rotation when the World Series begins and Corbin will be right in the thick of it.--Joey C - RotoBaller
