6 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Patrick Corbin had his worst start of the season in Monday's 6-3 home loss to the St. Louis Cardinals. Corbin threw four scoreless innings to start the game but then had a horrendous fifth inning, when he allowed all six runs, and exited the game thereafter. Corbin walked four and struck out five as his ERA rose from 2.48 to 3.58. Now 2-1, Corbin remains a top starting pitching option despite the blow-up; he had entered the game with five straight quality starts to begin 2019. His next start will come at Philadelphia, where he won't be the best DFS play but should be started in most season-long leagues.--Nathaniel Green
