Patrick Corbin Takes Loss In Quality Start
3 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Patrick Corbin was solid Tuesday against the Colorado Rockies, but he was still saddled with the loss as the Nationals fell 3-1 in Denver. Corbin allowed two runs on six hits and three walks (one intentional) in six innings. His nine strikeouts tied his season high. After a dreadful season, Corbin has now delivered four quality starts in his last five outings, offering some optimism heading into 2022. He may make one more start on the final day of the season against Boston, when he hopes to improve on his 5.82 ERA and 1.47 WHIP in 171 2/3 innings. He's a risky fantasy play despite recent success.
