Patrick Mahomes - Week 8 Outlook for Fantasy Football
3 years agoKansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has struggled this season and is coming off of his worst game of the year in Week 7, but he will look to get back on track for a Week 8 matchup versus the New York Giants. The former MVP hasn't look like himself this year and has passed for 2093 yards with 18 interceptions and nine interceptions. The turnovers have been a problem for Mahomes and the Chiefs offense as a whole has struggled due to them. The nine interceptions are the second most that the signal-caller has thrown in a season, with 12 being the highest and that coming in his first season as a starter in 2018. Mahomes looked hobbled at the end of the Chiefs Week 7 loss to the Tennessee Titans, but he hasn't been on the injury list this week and appears fully healthy to take on the Giants on Monday. The Giants defense has struggled as a unit this year and has allowed 253 yards per game through the air. They are also giving up two touchdowns a game to quarterbacks. All of this works in favor of Mahomes, but the Giants have had at least one interception in each of their last four games and Mahomes will need to limit the turnovers. Despite the down year for Mahomes, managers should still feel confident starting him as a QB1 in Week 8.
