5 years agoKansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (knee) will miss Kansas City's Week 8 meeting with the Green Bay Packers. This had been the expected situation since Mahomes injured his knee last Thursday, but his appearances at practice this week had introduced some hope into his ability to return to the field without missing a game. Mahomes' Week 9 status should be monitored, but for now Matt Moore takes the reins as starting quarterback in Kansas City. Moore's put up some solid numbers in spot duty with the Dolphins in the past, but he's no Mahomes.
