3 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher Patrick Sandoval (back) could be out for the remainder of the 2021 season, according to Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com. Sandoval was placed on the 10-day injured list on Wednesday after being diagnosed with a left lumbar spine stress reaction, and there is currently no timeline for his return. Sandoval has had a breakout year for Los Angeles, going 3-6 with a 3.62 ERA, 1.207 WHIP and 25.9 percent strikeout rate across 87 innings of work. Managers who have him rostered can go ahead and stash him on the IL for now until an official announcement is made as to whether or not he'll pitch again.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
