3 years agoChicago Cubs third baseman Patrick Wisdom is not in the starting lineup ahead of Sunday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers. The former first round pick has been off to a slow start with one hit in his nine plate appearances this season. The Cubs will give him the day off to rest and recover. Jonathan Villar will cover third base and bat third versus right-hander Freddy Peralta. This will be his first appearance with the Cubs after joining the team this offseason. The switch-hitting infielder should be a trustworthy option off the bench for Chicago. He could have sneaky streaming appeal in the middle of the order for Sunday's matchup.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
