2 years agoChicago Cubs third baseman Patrick Wisdom (finger) took batting practice on the field ahead of Thursday's game against the Cincinnati Reds. The 31-year-old has been sidelined since August 25 with a left ring finger sprain. He is eligible to come off the injured list, but it's unclear if Wisdom will require a rehab assignment before rejoining the lineup. Wisdom is slashing .217/.311/.438 with 22 home runs, 58 RBI, 60 runs, and seven stolen bases over 471 plate appearances in 117 games in 2022.
