4 years agoColumbus Blue Jackets winger Patrik Laine has scored in just one of his last seven outings, but he should be able to get back on track next week. The schedule isn't great for Columbus with only three games coming up, but they face a pair of poor penalty-killing teams, which should help the team to get scoring again. Sunday's 3-1 loss to Nashville was the fourth time in their past five games in which the Blue Jackets scored two or fewer goals. They should end the scoring slump on Tuesday against the Red Wings, who allow the eighth-most goals in the league and whose penalty-killing is the second-worst in the NHL. Laine & Co. will then have a two-game set against the Dallas Stars, who are also struggling and have killed off only 78 percent of penalties. Laine has scored half of his six goals with the man advantage since arriving in Columbus. Other Columbus forwards, such as Cam Atkinson and Oliver Bjorkstrand are also proven goal-scorers and should be targeted for next week's action.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
