7 years agoThe Denver Broncos have had trade conversations concerning cornerback Aqib Talib with the San Francisco 49ers, but it doesn't look like a deal will get done, according to sources. Talib prefers to be released so that he can choose his next team, and the Patriots are his top choice, according to sources. The Broncos are trying to shed some salary cap space in order to make a run at free-agent quarterback Kirk Cousins, and they'll have to make some sacrifices on both sides of the ball in order to do so. Talib figures to be one of the casualties. The 32-year-old is long in the tooth, but he remains effective and was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2017.
