6 years agoThe New England Patriots have been in contact with free-agent running back Mike Gillislee, who was released by the Saints on Saturday. Gillislee spent last year with New England, and the Patriots could use more running back depth with Rex Burkhead and Jeremy Hill done for the season. Rookie Sony Michel and James White are the current members of the backfield, but Gillislee could provide a short-yardage/goal-line option for head coach Bill Belichick.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
